About Backrubs and Bearhugs

A Safe Space

I want Backrubs and Bearhugs to be a safe space, a place you can visit and feel comfortable and looked after before, during, and after your treatment.

Holistic Massage

Holistic Massage isn't a particular technique, or set routine of movements. Using what we know about the body's anatomy and physiology, each massage treatment is tailored to the individual depending on what our aim is for each massage, so each one might be slightly different, for example you might have an excercise-related injury that you want help with, or need a relaxing massage to help you de-stress. Its all about what you need instead of a 'painting by numbers' approach!

About Me

I studied for my Diploma in Professional Holistic Massage (Level 4) at Cardiff Metropolitan University and qualified in July 2021. 

Anatomy ( what the body is made of and how it all fits together ), Physiology (the different systems in the body and how they all work together ), and Pathology (the study of disease and things that can 'go wrong' with our bodies) were major parts of my studies alongside learning how to massage and how  can help with all sorts of issues both physical and mental.

I have also studied Indian Head Massage and I'm now a qualified practitioner in this  wonderful treatment method.

Building Relationships

You will reap the benefits of massage if it becomes a regular part of your life. My goal is for us to work together to take better care of your health, long-term. 

Sharing Knowledge

Communication is key. I need to know what you're feeling, experiencing and what you're looking to gain in order to best help you. In turn, I will explain the treatment and what you can expect to gain from it. 

Helping You Feel Better

Massage is a tool to help heal. Whether it's stress, illness or simply to pamper yourself, the benefits of massage can be life changing. I would be honored to take that journey with you.
